Coming to the Hellenic Museum of Michigan
March 19 - May 17, 2026
In partnership with One Bean Marketing, Ramona Pintea, The National Hellenic Society, and the Detroit Cultural Center, the Hellenic Museum of Michigan is proud to present:
#WeAreGreekWarriors: From the Greek Revolution to Today: The Power of the Heroines of 1821 Lives in Every Woman
#WeAreGreekWarriors celebrates the women of the Greek Revolution. Powerful, courageous, and independent changemakers who shaped history by championing democracy, freedom, and independence. They were fighters, strategists, community protectors, funders of freedom, and catalysts for change, proving that leadership takes many forms. Some of their names became legendary, but most remain unknown to this day. Their stories inspire women and girls everywhere to embrace their own potential, see greatness in themselves, and create meaningful change. What began as a social media campaign by One Bean Marketing is now evolving into a global movement, bringing these stories to new audiences across generations and around the world.
In this brand-new exhibition, #WeAreGreekWarriors brings the heroines of 1821 into today’s cultural conversation through bold imagery and modern storytelling. Building on the vibrant, modern narratives of One Bean Marketing’s social campaign, the exhibit will showcase stunning original artwork by renowned contemporary artist Ramona Pintea, as well as exciting, thought-provoking, and interactive programming that will not only educate but also ignite the Greek Warrior spirit within us all.
